Crate unfolder based on a crate destacker

An irreversible trend in logistics is the use of folding crates. These are crates that can be folded up when they are empty.

These are crates that can be folded up when they are empty, so they take up less space on return loads. Because the distances over which products and raw materials are supplied and shipped keep getting longer, return volume has become increasingly important.

Within production sites or packing departments, however, the folding crate often creates more work, which largely cancels out the lower transport costs. There are installations that unfold these crates, but they are often expensive and complicated. They are also large and take up expensive space within your company.

Based on a crate destacker, Elten has developed and built a crate unfolder that takes up only a small footprint and can therefore be placed directly in front of any production line or packing line. This machine works according to the thought-out simplicity concept.
