In 1986, Gert Achterberg founded Achterberg Besturingstechniek. In 2009, Elten Logistic Systems was added. His three sons built it into a company that operates worldwide.

Loading baggage at the airport
Eltonomous is Elten’s system for loading baggage automatically. One machine loads multiple ULDs, up to 240 pieces of baggage per hour. It takes the heavy lifting off employees’ hands, without replacing them. Developed and built in Veenendaal.
